When the going gets tough, it’s important to always stay resilient in the hardest of times. One of the ways I try to cope with the lows in life is to look up to other women who are at the top of their game aka hustling while spreading #girllove yo! *By the way, try to be inspired by other women, we’re all a sisterhood despite ethnicity, colour, sex (love to my transgender women!) etc. so don’t hate on each other y’all!*
Here I present seven women in irrespective order who inspire me to be my very best to achieve my goals!
1) Cara Delevingne
Cara is such an iconic woman, and not only for her stunning eyebrows! She’s multi talented (drummer, beat boxer, singer, actress, model, designer etc.), humorous, charismatic and strong! Not only does she teach me life is more than just being serious *cue her derps and infectious british humour* but love is free and has no bounds. I also adore how Cara celebrates the female body, away from patriarchal suppression and societal standards. #freethenipple
2) Kendall Jenner
Kendall reminds me to never give in to rejection, and if you believe in yourself and who you want to be- things will fall into place if you work hard and make it happen! This is what happened when Kendall was excluded from the model industry because her previously small modelling career was overshadowed by her name as a ‘Kardashian in KUWTK’ (she’s a Jenner guys!), it had become difficult for her to enter the modelling world professionally. But, after working hard to build up her modelling resume and constantly on the runways since her acceptance from Marc Jacobs, she’s one of the top models out there!
No kidding, she’s a busy girl, check out her Wikipedia page!
On December 30, 2015, Jenner wrote on her website and app that she had recently been hospitalized for exhaustion due to overwork.
3) Selena Gomez
SG is queen! Despite the many repetitive questions of her past relationship with JB and constant invasive questions about her personal life, she still works hard to achieve her goals! It’s amazing how she’s diagnosed with lupus and she STILL doesn’t let her get in the way of hustling!
She’s got an upcoming tour and single with Charlie Puth and so many more projects, thumbs up to her Revival, album and her actual revival hehe! She embraces her culture and her alto voice- Gomez confesses she can’t possibly reach to the heights of Adele vocally, but loves singing because it makes her happy. Good on her!
4) Karlie Kloss
Karlie *0* Classy, tall, elegant lady who loves coding (coding is the way of the future) and baking cookies! Who doesn’t love Karlie seriously! She promotes a healthy lifestyle and inner improvement through learning from mistakes and increasing confidence (her channel is Klossy
), in her YouTube Videos.
It’s so refreshing to see a model reveal a lot about their flaws but also teaching ways to better yourself. My most memorable moment from her was when she threw the opening pitch at a Cardinals game with no idea on how to throw one! She practiced and did it anyway, which goes to show that it’s important to accept all opportunities, even if those might or might not end in our favour!
Malala was a lady I was not familiar with until a few weeks ago. She had won a Nobel Prize (as quoted from the nobel prize website here
The Norwegian Nobel Committee has decided that the Nobel Peace Prize for 2014 is to be awarded to Kailash Satyarthi and Malala Yousafzay for their struggle against the suppression of children and young people and for the right of all children to education.
Not only is she brave to express her opinion in dangerous conditions (aka the Taliban) but she reminds me of the importance of education and why it’s so so important to take advantage of this resource. So inspiring and motivating when I reach my finals haha.
Lily is one of those ladies that hustles like it’s no body’s business! Her productivity is off the freaking charts, and the amount of content she produces is enormous. Paired with her positivity and lovable personality, this woman is so inspirational to me. I love how she started the #girllove campaign, I never realised how much hate goes on between girls, so It’s so motivating how a youtuber like her is speaking up about it! She also speaks out about how YouTube is accepting more women of colour to be on their billboards and it’s great to hear her talk in favour of more POC to be shown in the media. Good on her!
7) Marzia Bisognin
And the last one goes to Marzia Bisognin! She produces wonderful content, her photography skills are amazing and her editing skills are so seamless. Her creativity and passion in fashion and beauty were one of the inspirations behind me starting a blog, but it’s such a shame how everyone sees her as just ‘Pewdiepie’s girlfriend’ and not a professional content creator! I love how in spite of this and all other inappropriate comments about her body and her relationship, she still keeps doing what she’s doing- she has a clothing line and book out which is fantastic! Her feminine yet badass unique style is also commendable, her aesthetic is *0*
And that’s it! Hope you enjoyed reading about who inspires me. Who are your queens and why?
